Five teenagers from poor backgrounds will receive scholarships to a private school, Harvard-Westlake. They will leave the comfort of East Los Angeles to mingle with the privileged of North Hollywood. Many obstacles will await them but with the help of kind strangers and from the love and support of their neighbors, friends, and families they just might end up breaking the cycle of poverty that they've experienced and have triumph and victory in their sights. In Harvard-Westlake they will find prejudice and everyday rich-bullies but they will find romance, new friendships, and acceptance. Walls that people have built will crumble with the power of family. They will end up teaching something unique to Harvard-Westlake; something that will change the lives of many.

So what happens when Dallas is suddenly thrown into her life? What happens when Avril ends up spilling her life story to him and then kisses him? And this does happen more than once. Boyfriends, brothers, friends, feelings, and high school. What could go wrong?
