Five teenagers from poor backgrounds will receive scholarships to a private school, Harvard-Westlake. They will leave the comfort of East Los Angeles to mingle with the privileged of North Hollywood. Many obstacles will await them but with the help of kind strangers and from the love and support of their neighbors, friends, and families they just might end up breaking the cycle of poverty that they've experienced and have triumph and victory in their sights. In Harvard-Westlake they will find prejudice and everyday rich-bullies but they will find romance, new friendships, and acceptance. Walls that people have built will crumble with the power of family. They will end up teaching something unique to Harvard-Westlake; something that will change the lives of many.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
