Ellie goes to Sam Allport School for Investigation. As an eighth grader, she's been sent on a mission to find the mysterious "eraser", who's been erasing events from time. But the eraser turns out to be someone unexpected. Soon she finds out more about the eraser, an evil society called the Keoluvents, and the people she thought she could trust... than she ever would have expected.
This is the novel I wrote in eighth grade (the first novel I ever finished; sad that that's exciting) and it's currently on its third draft. I need editing, so be harsh!

The Sign of Raphael (Rough Draft Novella)
If you read one thing from me in your whole life, please don't let it be this. This was a rough draft for a class, and my first written work of such a magnitude (other than perhaps some interactive fiction, which was better). I tried to handle it as a short story, and honestly it fails in that criteria. I've added chapters and some revisions to make it less odious. There is improvement throughout the novella, though there are also really obvious errors I haven't bothered to correct and wouldn't make nowadays. Supernatural-twinged cyberpunk action-adventure novella with a mystical-religious overtone. Dates back to February 2013. This is from a while back, and I was more into writing action than writing deeper more philosophical stuff. Not that it didn't try. The instructor told me at the end of class that "You will make a great teacher, you give excellent feedback." I was tasked with a capstone project in my eighth grade history class. I asked the teacher if I could write a book instead of the given options, to which she told me yes if I used something related to the bill of rights/the amendments as part of the prompt. 47 days later, this boi was created. Creator: Friend or Foe?
This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental. -Discontinued- Ellie has been homeschooled all her life, but with the recent loss of her dads job she has to go to public school. But what happens when her parents start fighting more and more, when she sees her crush with another girl, will she be able to fit in and do well in school?
