What I Once Called Love: The Drafts
This is my story, or rather a compilation of stories that spans more than a decade. Each piece is written from a place of truth with the exception of the names mentioned. The book itself will broken into sections, with each representing a different moment of my life that was instrumental in helping me define what love is and what it is not. This is a handful of chapters available for preview. Keep in mind, these pieces are drafts so they are in no way perfect so please be patient with me. Again, these poems are very personal so expect that most poems are written in the first person point of view. :) -About the Cover- I asked my friend to put lavender/violet flowers in the cover. Why? When I was in high school, I used to watch this Koreanovela called Lavender. Then a character said that if a person gives you lavender in a bottle, it means that he or she is waiting for love. :) Special thanks to @agbilang for making the cover. Tangled Love
"You only live once." This is the overly used excuse that we use every time we make a decision and that's fine because it's true. This also goes with 'Love'. For once in our lives, we would eventually experience this love - the kind of love that just can't die. A love, though not being returned, we are still willing to take the risk. We expect that somehow, someday we will be rewarded. But how long can we give that love a chance? Are we really capable of giving so much without asking anything in return? Are we really capable of being happy, just seeing the person we love happy with someone else? How can we untangle something so twisted like LOVE? How can we survive without breaking? Echoes of love- Will I ever belong?
I grab my pen and start writing. Dear diary, I see everyone finding love at this age, even if they don't last. The people are happy with their lover.
