Barbara Gordon consistently lives in the shadow of her dead mother. With her father, the Commissioner of Gotham City, watching over her carefully along with her protective boyfriend, Richard Grayson, she never has had a chance to spread her wings.

Growing up in one of the most crime filled cities in America, has given her an unquenchable thirst for thrill seeking. With growing impatience and an infatuation with The Dark Knight, she must work against all of them to become what she always wanted to be.

 A protector. A savior. All so she can relieve herself from the guilt that stems from her mothers death.

Does she have what it takes to become Gotham's new hero?

A prequel to "The Birds Of Prey: Nightwing", we can learn what has created the hardened Oracle and the paths that she made in her younger years as Gotham's vigilante, Batgirl.

+This is not a story for younger audiences as it explores dark topics and themes and features extreme language. My version of the young Barbara Gordon is not a happy one , she is cold, mean and often cruel. She is struggling with very bad and prevalent mental health issues which would often change the way she acts and behaves. This is her story of how she overcame her struggles in order to become the Oracle that is seen in "The Birds Of Prey: Nightwing (FanFic)". Bruce's death has torn the Bat Family apart, leaving the boy alone with Alfred Pennyworth. He never expected to enjoy the manservants company but he would prefer his family to be with him too. They are rarely at the manor anymore, mostly because it felt empty without Bruce there. One night, the boy wonder crosses paths with a thief that he has ran into once before. He never got her name and never bothered to look into it. The last time he's seen her, his father was still alive. The last time he's seen her, she was stealing something small. What happens when he finds out that this thief is one no other than the daughter of Harley Quinn and the Joker? What makes the girl so special? (I do not own the characters in the book. With the BatFamily on her side, Ria thinks she has a fighting chance against this maniac until something crazy happens, Azrael takes a liking to Barbra. Having never really seen her face, it's Barbra's fighting style and spirit that attracted the cold-hearted boy to this justice loving hero. And now things are complicated. Having been taught to kill the things he loves, Azrael vows that once Ria is dead, Barbra will be next. This turn of events may lead the BatFamily to do something they have never done before, kill Azrael before he hurts any of them. He couldn't hold his breath and had panic attacks when he had prolonged contact; say he was in a pool. Dick had two; cold and poison. He froze in twelve degrees (C) and never left the house with a jacket on. And the poison traveled at least three times as fast through his bloodstream as he didn't clot easily. Alfred had one too; as impossible as it seems.
