What if Richard was never adopted by Bruce Wayne but instead was kidnapped by Ra's Al Ghul? What if time slowly made the once happy and kind, but mischievous child bitter, and cold? What would happen if he met all the heroes that failed to save him? No matter what powers you posses, no matter how fast, agile, intelligent, strong, or broken you are... you can't save everyone... especially the ones that matter the most...

Cathleen was only five when it happened, when her parents died before her eyes. That night started out amazing, she had dinner with them and they went out for ice cream. However, Gotham isn't a place where good things last. When they made it to their car, it exploded, killing her mother instantly, her father rushed to save his daughter, but was gunned down. Little Cathleen could only lay there motionless and watch, whilst slipping into a coma. She slept for a year, but then woke up. The doctors didn't know how to console the traumatized six year old girl, so they let her cry it out. Once she was able to leave the hospital, she was sent to Juvi, because all of Gotham's orphanages where full. She was in Juvi for a year, before taken hostage by Joker. That's when she met Batman, and Red Robin, and Red Hood, And Nightwing. They saved her, they notice that she shouldn't be in Juvi, so they bring her to an orphanage. What if Bruce Wayne wasn't able to adopt Richard Grayson as his ward, because the young boy was kidnapped by Cadmus before he even had the chance? So when Aqualad and Kid Flash bust Superboy out of his prison, they also meet a somew.hat cheerful boy who doesn't remember anything from before his time with Cadmus. Both are after her powers for their own personal gain. Will the BatFamily be able to save her life? Will she become one of them? Will they be able to defeat the Shadow King and Ra's Al Ghul, the cunning Demon himself?
