It is only a year after nineteen-year old Michael Clifford has ventured out into the world on his own, when he opens the door at midnight and a surprise is waiting for him.

His neighbor, Melissa, desperately begs for him to babysit her eight-year old daughter for a day. Reluctantly, Michael agrees.

But days pass and Melissa never returns. Her house is sold and her only daughter, Paislee, is left with Michael.

Years later, Paislee is a teenager, and Michael must hide his temptations and his growing feelings for the young girl, until, she begins the feel the same.
