"You're not real, though! You're from my mind!" Eve stuttered, trying to wrap her head around the fact that her own mind's creation was standing in front of her. "If you don't believe I'm real, then here," Daniel offered her a hand, and she looked at it hesitantly, "touch my hand. My flesh is solid," she did as he commanded, and his flesh was just as warm as hers, "My Lady, I'm as real as you are." Eve Hawthorne was a lonely child growing up. Lucky for her, she had a very vivid imagination, which allowed her to make the friends she could never find. But when she's older, the boundary between Eve's reality and imagination becomes blurry, until she believes that both are real life, and she's just forced to live two lives rather than one. When she is sent to live with her grandmother, she is immediately told it is all rubbish, but she insists that it isn't. Tossed into therapy, Eve is made to let go and forget all of the memories she has in her world, and to come back to "reality". When she finally gives in, things seem to become "normal" for Eve. That is, until Daniel, the best friend from her imagination, sits down next to her in English, and tells her that her inner world is in danger. Wait, what?! Daniel soon takes Eve back into her childhood fantasy, in which she discovers all of her fears have grown and come to power when she had left. Will she take up the challenge to flush them out, or will she go back to reality and give up on imagination all together? Loving your family, friends, and never giving up imagination becomes reality in this novel, and Eve soon discovers that a world without her imagination's ties can never house her. ((Picture is not mine, just the crappy edit of it is!))
"Again, do you think that's... wise? The others should be able to control themselves, but Fallon..." Gideon let the words hang in the air. Fallon wasn't the most stable in the best of times and sometimes, he questioned his decision to bring him into their home.
"I'll watch out for him." Sebastian stood. "Damn me, why did I have to save her."
"Because you were bored."
**********************************
Most children are raised to have a sense of wonder. A feeling of awe at the unexplainable, delight at the thought of hidden worlds and fantastical creatures.
Eve was not that child.
She was happy in her logical life and didn't need the unicorns and wizards. To her, magic simply didn't exist.
Until the night it tried to kill her.
After she is saved by men of fiction, Eve soon discovers that binding an eight-hundred year old vampire to herself is the least of her worries.
An unexpected reunion with her mother exposes secrets and she quickly learns that what she didn't believe in could be the death of her.
******** Warning********
THIS IS A REVERSE-HAREM NOVEL. THERE WILL BE SEXY TIME INVOLVED.
It's also 107K words but only 16 chapters long. This means hella long chapters. Sorry about that, it's just the way the story wanted to be written.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Please comment and I will do my best to reply :) If there are questions that might lead to spoilers, I'll try to PM or DM the answers.
