After the tragic time-storm caused by Max Caulfield's mysterious powers, Chloe Price and her go by their car and drive off to the sunset. To then arrive to New Jersey, they have to make new friends and promise to not try to kill anybody nor weep about their losses. Unfortunately, most of their luggage and clothes have been ripped up or so, but luckily they still had money and clothes to spare.

Without anywhere else to go, the duo hit the open road, desperate to run away from their past. Life is hard, and over the next few years, the weight of their consequences slowly start to affect her and Chloe's lives mentally and emotionally. Although she still has her powers, Max promised Chloe never to use them, but that doesn't stop the brunette from slipping up, especially when true danger presents itself which is more often than not. Karma sure seems to have it out for them. Have Max and Chloe finally escaped the grips of their past, or is there a bigger storm yet to come?
