"It's not a matter of if there is another world war, it's a matter of when." Perhaps the historians will write this war off as a single cause, but they couldn't be more wrong. As tensions around the world boiled over, waves of attacks left the so few survivors struggling to comprehend the massive damage. In New London, there are still two prominent noble families living on by a single heir. Robert Frost, a noble clinging to power and the crime ring his father left behind, is still alive after the Third world War left the world on its knees. Tobias Gilbertson, the boy searching for answers after being thrust into the position of head of house, survives after the world war and fire. All they can do is pick up their lives and carry on, because after all, WAR NEVER CHANGES. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Picking up Our Lives is a coming of age novel set in a post-world war three London, centered around Frost and Gilbertson and the lives they lead. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Deals with themes such as survivor depression, criminal activity, orphans, and familial issues.

If you could stop the world from being blown to oblivion, would you? Ryan McCoy is a killer; a killer who can look into the eyes of his victims and not feel the slightest bit of remorse. Taking lives is something he's spent years committing himself to, but not the lives of innocents. He's what his kind call a tracker, where hardened criminals who roam free are the kinds of people you bury in exchange for money. However, after tragedy strikes, he's forced into fatherhood while being pursued by his old team of trackers. It's considered a sin to abandon your group, once you join, there's no escape. But Ryan does escape, and he does so in the most brutal of ways. Five years later, all of the trackers he once knew and worked with have gone corrupt. They became the criminals they were once so eager to find. After Ryan is introduced to a mysterious new face, his past catches up to him and his family. Secrets and deceit begin to follow him, and the only way he can rid himself of it is if he reunites with the trackers and goes along with one of the most inhumane acts of all time. Who is the one orchestrating all of it? The psychotic, cold, empty sociopath he's forced to call his brother. A brother whose life mission is to take everything Ryan's ever worked for and destroy it. ***WARNING*** This is a fictional story comprised of fictional characters.
