That's pretty much Nicole &quot;Nico&quot; Jensen's life in a nutshell now. For the past two days, she's been hiding in a useless tank without food or water, in a failed attempt to find her lost brother, Collin. Just when she decides to take her own life, she hears a yell. She helps a former sheriff who goes by the name Rick Grimes. Together, Nico, Rick, and five others return to a camp in the woods. 

She meets Daryl Dixon. Being a hunter herself, the two click. But like everyone, Nico has a secret. A secret that could destroy her relationship with this new group. 

How will Daryl and Nico's relationship progress? Will her secret be revealed? And what of her brother? Is everyone she had once loved gone for good?

When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy. And it doesn't hurt to focus on a certain redneck too.
