Within this first instalment; Rose an orphaned Star Bearer, is brought to live with Evelyn, her long lost grandmother. Rose who has come of age, proffers the open nature, to the confines of her new home. There is much about her past which is hidden in shadow, just like most of her future is still hidden within shadow too.

When a Shifter crosses Rose's path, a connection and bonding directs her into a new and uncertain world of myth and magic. Rose has many secretes of her own, but trusting others doesn't come easily to her either. As darkness falls and there's no hope left, the forgotten races of Telcassa will be forgotten no more.

Will Rose accept her fate and destiny?
