Mature
The air was dry and the sun overbearingly hot, making my tongue feel like sticky oatmeal in my parched mouth. My legs shook violently, aching in a pain I never knew possible from all the walking. The woman in front of me was doing no better, in fact, stumbling weakly on thin legs.
 I watch her fall down, dust kicking up around her from the sandy floor. She's white, once beautiful with big green eyes and once strong and shiny straight red hair. Her face was sunken with deep purple bags underneath her eyes. She looked like a ghost of her former self. Is this what I am to become?
