"You don't know what it's like to love someone who only sees you as a friend," Jean told Devin with the shake of her head as they both sat side-by-side, Devin looked at her before glancing back to Alex, the smile dropping from her face, and the truth lodged a bitter taste in her mouth. "I think I do." ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆ Being able to heal from anything doesn't mean that you can't be hurt. When Alex, accidentally, lets it slip that he was 'dating' Devin, he came to her in a panic, hoping that she'd agree to his plan of pretending to date. Mainly so Scott doesn't set him up on another terrible date, or hold it over Alex's head for the rest of his life. Regretfully agreeing is exactly what it ends up being. A regret. Devin never expected it to go that far, or for things to scratch their way up to the surface. The only way that she could deal with all these new feelings was to run. Which was exactly what she did. But that may have been an even bigger mistake. Slowly losing her mind, at first glance, didn't seem so bad. But when they haunt her day-in and night-out, losing her mind wasn't the only thing she began to lose.
