The Vampire Princess

"Paige.... What are you?" The silence that lingers, and his bright eyes, suddenly dark, causes me to grow weak, tears burning at the corners of my eyes, threatening to fall. I can't tell him, I know I can't. The truth burns inside my chest, desperately seeking to burst out.
"I would tell you, Josh. I really would. I can't. I promised so many people so many things. But I can show you, I will show you" My words are spilled and rushed, but regardless, I cautiously reach out my hand, and reluctantly, he takes it.

Paige Johnson lives in two worlds, at school, a normal teenage girl, with boyfriends, best friends, and typical teenage drama, and at home, daughter of the head of the IVC (International Vampire Committee). As her dad is the most important vampire on the face of the planet, Paige is expected to live the life of a high profile young women in a world of people expecting her to live up to the great things her mother has achieved. Living as a vampire was never a problem, until the safety of their kind is threatened, and forces her to take on a role she wasn't ready for yet. With her life in the human world briskly coming to what seems to be a close, Paige must choose between what is expected of her, or what she knows she really wants.
