"Paige.... What are you?" The silence that lingers, and his bright eyes, suddenly dark, causes me to grow weak, tears burning at the corners of my eyes, threatening to fall. I can't tell him, I know I can't. The truth burns inside my chest, desperately seeking to burst out.
"I would tell you, Josh. I really would. I can't. I promised so many people so many things. But I can show you, I will show you" My words are spilled and rushed, but regardless, I cautiously reach out my hand, and reluctantly, he takes it.

I made my way to the kitchen as usual and opened the fridge and grabbed a drink. My mom was usually in here,preparing a snack for my brother and I but today she wasn't.
