Prologue
(Link's POV)
As the children frolicked in the lake, I laid beside my heart, Zelda, resting beside me sweetly. She came beside me, and kissed me softly on the cheek. I smiled back at her as I laid beside her. I sat up, making sure the kids weren't playing roughly. I sensed something that they were playing, but something was wrong! I glanced at Zelda, breathing heavily. I shouted to the children to get back toward shore. As I gazed at Zelda, she wasn't feeling well! I told her to hang onto me, but she didn't respond. What was with her? I whistled to Epona, beckoning her to come. As I placed the children up on Epona, I held onto Zelda tightly. I placed her on my back, carrying her tightly as I placed ourselves onto Epona. I snapped her reins, and headed back toward Hyrule Castle for assistance.All Rights Reserved

Two people, who will grow to rely on each other, torn apart by the final ruination. The blood moon rises... The shadow of the Calamity rises over the kingdom of Hyrule, rearing its terrible head, tearing apart all that stands in its way. The deadline was hanging over the head of the citizens who depend on the success of a powerless girl and the mettle of a simply talented boy. The full Triforce shall collide once more, and when it does, are they courageous enough to overcome the own demons that haunt them and stand firm against the evil ahead? Hey everyone! There will be quite a lot of angst so if you're not okay with that, then please don't read my book. There will be rather graphic descriptions of war and battles, and self-harm and depression will trigger some of you, but there are no sexual scenes, nor swearing. Some characters will belong to me, but the majority of elements involved in my story belongs to Nintendo. Thank you guys so much and enjoy!

Prologue (Zelda's Pov) Link was out on a trip, hanging with his 'brothers' like always. I, laid in my bed fast asleep. Our parents have passed on, but I didn't mind at all a both them. I gazed a my golden crest, then sighed. Link was always hanging out with his friends, but me, a princess? I stay inside all alone with only my caretakers and maids. Yes, I held one of the Triforce shards, but I wished to Hylia, my grand ancestor, about a wish that I desired for all of my life. I wanted love from someone who'd like me. Sadly, I was 14 years of age, so that limits my options. I can't just simply pick the right man to be with me. I heard a knock on the door, breaking me from my trance of thought. Link came to see me as he displayed his loyalty to me. "Link, what do you desire?," I got up from my chair while brushing off the dust. "Princess, there shall be a game of sport coming this afternooon. All the males have been chosen for the competion, but they wait for your lead. What do you desire?"

The Legend of Zelda: The Dark Agenda by spawnoftyphon

Far in the future, Link and Ganondorf battle in broken world, a fusion of the 'child' and 'adult' timelines. Hyrule is ravaged and all inhabitants, even Ganon's minions, have abandoned their homes due to fear of Link and Ganon's conflict. A Demigod takes advantage of their weakened states and places power inhibitors on their necks, forcing Link and Ganon to work together. This is an old fanfic from 2014. Keep in mind that this is not written as a thoroughly as novel, so this story does not have detailed descriptions of environments or senses. This is written as a plot synopsis/script for a video game premise. I have written this plot in such a way that it can easily fit into the far future of any Zelda timeline. (I should mention that I do have a copyright on this plot, not all of the characters. Because the plot I have written can fit into any JRPG video game, I acquired a copyright by swapping out all of Zelda's characters, places and terms with other names. However, the Demigod (his personality and goals) is my creation as well (ergo, also under the copyright) since he is a character that is from one of my novels. I know that my plot would essentially be a Zelda rip-off as it is, so I would not sell it on that basis. I have a copyright on the plot just in case, so no one can just randomly try to steal it without giving me proper compensation.)

The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within. I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. The clouds had parted from where they were, revealing the moon at its fullest. I stared in awe. It had never been so bright. The ambiance began to come back. The wind began to dance with the trees. I closed my eyes. The scent of oak filled my nose and exhaled through my mouth. The aroma filled me with exhilaration. It filled me with something I couldn't explain. I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time. Although it was something I wasn't used to feeling, I craved it deeply. I felt happy. I felt as if nothing else mattered than this moment. I opened my eyes. Everything seemed clearer. I could see the particles of dust flying in the beam of light that shone around me. I wanted to stay here for longer. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react. It's limbs outstretched. It's teeth bared. My body, paralyzed from fear, refused to move. My lip quivered, urged to call for help, but no help would come. I was too deep into the woods. No one would hear my screams. The thought was soon interrupted by the wolf's teeth digging into my side.

My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.
