Advanced placed student, Caydyn Starks, receives a chance of a lifetime after saving the Chief of Surgery's life. Being in high school and offered a position in Medical school, for free, years in advance, and with no knowledge of his career plans, Caydyn accepts without a doubt. What's wrong with that? Exactly, nothing, but drama, personal problems, and his dreams are put to the test through the next four years of his life. His fathers, one being a lawyer and the other a cardiothoraccic surgeon, pressure him to follow his dreams, and not everybody else's. Will his chance be just a chance, or will it be his life? Will the drama, pressure, and problems be the death of him or his career?

From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
