Bear is living in a dying world, a world with no plants, large factories, and synthetic human slaves. The pollution is managed by sprawling life support factories that filter the air, produce clean food, and purify large quantities of the putrid waters. The age of independent freedoms died along with the natural world, forcing people into large stacked cities, with the wealthy ruling from above the poor down below, with the ground an unlivable wasteland. The world is run by the wealthy, and those who are able to edit DNA are kept as their pocket pets, giving them beauty, strength, and children. Poor families are allowed one child and can only have them with the help of a genetic engineer. But there is one thing that all people are given regardless of status, multi-vac. The Multi-vac is the pinnacle of medical science, able to cure every illness and disease known to man, that is, until the Stain. The Stain is a super-virus that causes the individual cells to decompose at an accelerated rate, leaving black tendrils of dead cells in its wake. Thanks to an unfortunate twist of fate Bear is infected, casting his family into poverty and shame. But things change after a series of events that throw the world on the brink of extinction and total war as Bear is given a chance to be cured. But the last thing Bear remembers is being tricked into a machine and forced to sleep. Bear wakes up in an abandoned and destroyed world with only his Teddy and the voice of a stranger left for him around the crumbling hospital. With nothing else to loose Bear follows the instructions of the Stranger deeper and deeper into the hospital in the hopes of finding a way out, a way home.

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Definitely not a horror story, although it has its share of action. 4 updates a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday! Copyright April 2017. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. Fanfictions are allowed to use my *world* and *zombie ranks* as long as credit is given.

guys please don't read this anymore lmao i write totally differently now💋 _________________ In a future where humans are genetically modified -- 'altered' -- at the age of sixteen, the world has been, until now, a safe place. Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. Set on a pristine, futuristic Earth, this is the apocalypse like you've never seen it before. (Rated mature for graphic depictions of violence and mild language.) "I love you, Kim Sunoo," shouted the older, breathless from the short climb, his voice soaring over the waves and into the wind. The sound echoed-loud, clear, impossible to take back. Then with a shaky inhale and tear-brimmed eyes, the younger stepped forward and hugged the older tightly, almost melting into his warmth. "I-I love you too, Sunghoon." Everything's going fine between them.... is it? Or is it the silence before the storm? ------ Soon the man spoke "It's time to reverse the dice darling, 𝐥𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮" finishing his sentence with rageful eyes before letting the other person speak- he closed the remaining distance between them and....and let's dive into the story to know what's the game about and what's behind it We're going on the right path or we're blinded by some lies which we never knew it existed ∆ No real life characters are harmed in this story. it's just a fiction, don't try to relate real life characters and events with this story. remember you clicked on this because you're interested so I won't tolerate any hateful comments on my story ∆ Every word you read comes from my own imagination. Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. And then one night while heading to go get her friend she's taken and thrown into a world she didn't know existed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remi?" Jen says suddenly. "Hmm?" I hum back. "Do you ever wish you could just live in the forest? Away from everyone and everything?" She looks at me. "Free." We stare at each other for a long time. I see the real meaning in Jen's eyes. Her worries for going home to her overly strict parents. Her fears for the future and the unknown in general. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.

Jack and Ann have taken me on a great adventure full of mystery and incredible technology, I hope you'll join us. I know you have a lot of reading choices, but if you have space left in your literary adventure cup, please join Jack and Ann as 2021 turns into 2022, happy reading! __ The demon whispers inside Jack's mind. "They are not worthy, they are cattle, these new humans you covet. The so-called creator has betrayed you, replaced you with these organic imitations. Slaughter them all." It's funny, not in a ha-ha funny way, but a sad, my madness doesn't make sense type of way, Jack thinks, because wasn't he human? Worse still, the voice comes with impulses that are hard to resist. Violence usually ensues. That's why he joined the military. A way to channel his urges into mind-numbing physical effort and war. It works for a time. But alcohol and fighting can only carry on for so long. Finally, he realizes, his only way out is suicide. But when he opens his eyes, he's in the In-Between. The creator has other plans for him, and she won't take no for an answer. Apparently, this isn't his first life and if he doesn't free her from her prison, it won't be his last. His curse is to be reborn without end, without rest, without memory. Only madness. Now Jack is on the run from forces he doesn't understand. It's a new world. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen. But the creator promises the demon's voice will disappear as soon as he finds the right girl, the right bond. After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. Come along on this action-packed thriller as Jack fights to remember who he is, tries to end an eternal war, and atone for sins he doesn't remember...yet.

10 parts Complete Mature

It was as silent as ever, no crickets making a sound, not a single gust of air bothered the night. It was just me and one other, he was like me, a hunter. As a child my father was in the lab trying to create new ways to bring back life from deceased beings, he tried with every molecule in him to try and change the way humans were living. It was a horrible incident, an outbreak occurred causing the government to shut his lab down. My mother was the first to suffer this plague, she was exposed to it the night my father had made his mistake causing him his life later on. He loved my mother so, that he couldn't find it in himself to free her from the pain. She was already pregnant with me, inside her womb , the infection seeped into my blood cells and that's why I am unique. When I was born my father ran tests over and over that would have killed a normal child but I was different, my DNA patters were different, my genes were mixed. Such things to happen afterwards is what my story is about. There's no such things as 'A Happy Ever After' in my story, it's sick and twisted with darkness around every corner. My name is Serene Jackson and this is the story of how I survived.
