Bear is living in a dying world, a world with no plants, large factories, and synthetic human slaves. The pollution is managed by sprawling life support factories that filter the air, produce clean food, and purify large quantities of the putrid waters. The age of independent freedoms died along with the natural world, forcing people into large stacked cities, with the wealthy ruling from above the poor down below, with the ground an unlivable wasteland. The world is run by the wealthy, and those who are able to edit DNA are kept as their pocket pets, giving them beauty, strength, and children. Poor families are allowed one child and can only have them with the help of a genetic engineer. But there is one thing that all people are given regardless of status, multi-vac. The Multi-vac is the pinnacle of medical science, able to cure every illness and disease known to man, that is, until the Stain. The Stain is a super-virus that causes the individual cells to decompose at an accelerated rate, leaving black tendrils of dead cells in its wake. Thanks to an unfortunate twist of fate Bear is infected, casting his family into poverty and shame. But things change after a series of events that throw the world on the brink of extinction and total war as Bear is given a chance to be cured. But the last thing Bear remembers is being tricked into a machine and forced to sleep. Bear wakes up in an abandoned and destroyed world with only his Teddy and the voice of a stranger left for him around the crumbling hospital. With nothing else to loose Bear follows the instructions of the Stranger deeper and deeper into the hospital in the hopes of finding a way out, a way home.

The ice deep in the north has melted to reveal a new world hidden under the ice. It holds vegetation and animals that seem unworldly when compared to ours, but hidden in the deepest part of this world is another cave with the oldest surviving strains of an ancient bacteria capable of taking host of dead creatures and reanimating them into beasts worse than before. This strain had grown weak over the ages and was nearly extinct, but the human immune system, never being exposed to this, caused the strain to thrive inside its new unexpecting host and spreads out to the world. It starts small, just a speck on the hands of a few people, but soon, it spreads to door handles, pens, books, chairs, things like that. It continues spreading and now has infected its first corpse, the remains of an ant. This new creature comes and spreads to that ant's nest and then to the animals that eat them. Before less than a month passed, the virus had spread to a graveyard in the hidden grottos of the Yukon. This virus, now able to think from the new minds of fresh bodies, can strategize. In only another week, the epidemic had spread to the northern edge of the United States. Spreading further and further in, people began to notice this strange happening. From people disappearing to entire towns popping out of existence, the bacteria continued to spread. To keep order, the governments had those who disappeared erased from existence, but it wasn't enough. The takeover of those long gone happened in less than three weeks and society collapsed. Spreading overseas, it began its removal of life in Europe, but that's a story for another day. We now come to those few remaining settlements in the collapsed U.S, now called The Crumbled Land. What does this new land hold hidden deep in the remnants of its former glory?

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

For Ana, it felt like a switch had been turned on inside her. She could sense freedom, imagine possibilities she hadn't thought possible. She wants to leave her caregivers, and when she does, she wants to take Evan with her. In fact, she must take Evan, because he is the only one who can show her the way to The Place - the only place she can recall ever feeling completely happy. ... In a world that bleeds with environmental disasters, genetic mutations become more common - some genes get lost and other, silent genes get turned on. Nature offers infinite possibilities to ensure life continues through genetic codes that struggle to survive, unheard and often unnoticed. It is a battle where dominant, aggressive genes best suited to the environment will succeed. Both Ana and Evan have been labelled with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - a genetic disorder, affected by the environment. It is a world wide condition, knowing no boundaries and increasing rapidly. Since disabilities such as ASD are triggered by our changing environment, and since these disabilities are rapidly changing and increasing in frequency, it is entirely possible that the ideal "disability" could give some humans an evolutionary advantage over other humans. ... Imagine having a disability so severe you need 24 hour care. Imagine wanting to leave your home and caregivers to live in the one place you feel at peace. Imagine discovering you have abilities far beyond the norm. Imagine finding other people with similar abilities and disabilities, willing to risk everything to follow you. Imagine freedom. Ana did.

"Doesn't seem to work now that my DNA is so fucked I can't heal." I say to him, rolling my eyes. "So you agree that it is a change in your DNA?" Charlie says to me. "I don't know." I huff, angry at this whole debate. "I can't deal with humans fucking up every effort I have to live happy." "Does Father ever let you stay in Heaven?" "Only half the time." "And what do you do in Heaven?" "I fight. Sword fighting mostly, it's a big attraction. Our sword fights are as popular there as football is here." "Football?" He asks, his eyebrows raised. "Ugh, wrong era. Whatever." I respond, rolling my eyes at my own stupidity. A sudden hitch in my breath causes me to cough more, another clump of clotted blood coming forward into the towel I offer. "Life on earth is just a revolving door of wars, fighting, finding out angels exist, fighting over it, killing everyone that remembers, then back to the industrial revolution again. And there's almost always times when angels are outlawed and locked up." "Back to your problem though, do you agree that God may be trying to train you? Or maybe he's using you to remove the villains from society?" "The latter holds some truth. After all, I do get dumped into the human society when everything is going to shit." "Do you ever do wrong in Gods eyes? Maybe he's putting you down here to clean up society as a punishment." Book 4, yep I skipped one. Each book stands on its own. It's good to read the first before, but not necessary. I use wattpad as a back-up of my typed stories. I have so much more hand written, and if you truly are interested I will totally type more or even upload pictures of each page written.

It's funny, really. It's funny how as kids we always played these zombie games and thought it would be so cool to be in a zombie apocalypse. We tried to figure out who out of our friend groups would die first, and who would live to the end. We were fascinated as young boys by the shooting games where you would blow a zombie's head off without a second thought. They were monsters. Nothing more. You barely thought of how they were once human. Because they weren't. It was just a game. Or it was just a movie. But when it became real life, you could see the family photos of the zombie you just killed. You could see the dead children who had been beaten to death by their own mother. The same mother whose skull you just bashed open on her kitchen floor for trying to rip your jaw apart. They were all once alive. And the outbreak ended their lives. They could have been your cousin, your friend, your neighbor. It could have been you. But you hold on to the fact that it wasn't. And because of that, you go on. ___ Set in 2037, two years after the worldwide bacterial infection called The Cure started, Mason Martinez and his two buddies try their best to survive in this post-apocalyptic world. But when Mason finds out about a so-called "safe zone" about 4 cities from where he stands, Mason strives to find it. Even if that means he has to cross the 4 main factions of his area. The Lab Coats, The Mercenaries, The Raiders, and the worst of all, The Salvation. And to find this safe zone, Mason is willing to do whatever it takes.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin Amidst the nuclear war, popularly known as World War III, mankind had also been struck with a weaponized viral disease, decimating what's left of the human population. With his memory lost under the perilous fallout, Gabriel was saved by two other survivors. And together, they strived in a modified nuclear shelter away from the heavily infested cities. They thought they were living a safe and well-sustained life. Until one day, they found out the most shocking discovery, the truth that pushed Gabriel in a heart-stopping journey of his life. He would travel hundreds of miles of the post-apocalyptic world lurking with unknown dangers, including the hordes of infected and bandits alike. He would then come across other survivors, struggling to preserve their lives and ideals. However, as pieces of his memory came rolling back, conflicts of priorities defied even the most basic rules of their survival. Will Gabriel, and the people he have come to cherish, outlive the apocalypse? Or will they perish, and go through... extinction?
