Sniper

Cool metal rests in my hands, my gaze drifting down the barrel of the gun. A single figure stands yards away, unknowing and unconcerned of the danger I impose on him.
A wicked smile stretches across my face, my breathing steady. My usual butterflies and nervousness of taking a human life gone in every way. I slowly guide my finger over the trigger, my heart-beat picking up in anticipation.
