Fighting. We were made for it. God created us, the Hounds of Heaven, to protect his precious humans. For every good, there has to be an evil, right? Welcome to the world of the wolves. After near extinction from a mystery virus, the human population is at its smallest. Only recently were we allowed to finally show our existence to aid the humans in their time of need. Now, we live in semi-peace together, humans inside the city, us guarding it. There is minimal contact to the outside forces and absolutely no mixing of the genes. Now throw in a rising Hound of Heaven, Nathaniel, and his ever growing curiosity into the mix. Unknown occurrences begin and he is determined to find out what it is. Even at the cost of what he holds dearest.

And then abruptly he backed away, taking my breath away with him. I wasn't sure what to make of the situation. We both stood there standing speechless for a moment. I couldn't help but to feel a disgusted that he would act like he wanted me and then pull away so harshly. "You selfish son of a cunt," --- In her run for freedom and to find out who she is, Cora ends up entangled in the arms of Raphael, the relentless beast.
