She felt like crashing.
He could help her fly like the angel she was.
Gabrielle has been through a normal Shadowhunter life.
After all, being half-angel and half-human had its problems.
Fighting demons day and night, keeping an eye on rogue Downworlders and basically protecting normal mundanes from the danger of the Shadow World. That was her job from birth.
However, as a new Shadowhunter suddenly appears, her normal Shadowhunter life takes a different course.
Her ex-lover is almost head over heels for the new girl, her past is resurfacing and an old enemy of the Shadowhunters is brought to daylight.
Fighting the pain of your past can be stressful. But then there is Raphael.
Raphael Santiago is a vampire whose decades older than Gabrielle yet maintains the youthful features of a fifteen year old boy. He hasn't had the best life, or death in the case of vampires either. But being the head of the New York City clan of vampires, he has to push all that baggage back.
When he meets Gabrielle, old memories are brought back, love is rekindled and both could be happy with each other.
But some angels are damned while others can fly.
Is Gabrielle really damned?

Based off of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare.

This happens after the city of heavenly fire.(In the Mortal Instruments series) She walks in gracefully and says with so much venom, that I flinch, "Sit down and listen." I obey, sensing a very wrong and dangerous vibe from her. She continues, "I am Ms. Smith but you will call me madam." I reply, "And I am Clar-" "I know who you are if not why would I have summoned that demon to kidnap you," she interrupts, glaring at me. I am shocked, why would this lady kidnap me. I am completely perplexed. She must have seen it on my face because she says, "You killed Jonathan Morgenstern when all he did was love you. I HATE YOU. If you weren't there he would have loved me. Now I will take your loved ones away from you." I am just about to reply when she sends electrifying green sparks towards me which make me lose consciousness. When I finally up she says, "I have cursed you. When you leave this house it will be the day of your sixteenth birthday again but this time Simon won't remember you and neither will your other friends especially your lover, Jace. If you get close to them then they will all die after a year. No other warlock can reverse this spell." Clary gets cursed one night by a certain vengeful warlock. That one night turns her whole world upside down. She has no one to trust, to depend on, to love. Will she survive this like she survived everything else or will she lose herself along the way? On top of that horrible sundae of a life there's a cherry of danger to top it off. More and more problems pile up on her plate and she is burdened with all of it. As usual she has to vanquish evil and save the world. Can she do it? Does love really conquer all and survive through the worst of odds? Read to find out!

Clary Fray had turned 18 and she all of a sudden had her world turned upside down. First, her mother and Luc saying they had to have a serious talk with her, then seeing a boy covered in tattoos that apparently neither Simon or Marie could see, then killing some sort of demon-like thing with the 'family heirloom' that her mother called a 'stele', and there was so many other things going on that she could hardly keep track of them all. Then all of a sudden, she is thrusted into a world war of two worlds, the Shadowhunters world which was also the human one, and the Demon one. Then Clary finds out that she has an older sister, Ren Fairchild, who has the same powers she has, except more powerful. Ren is 3 years older then Clary and remembers the day she was dumped by their mother, like it was yesterday. Ren is clearly an able fighter, but can she fight a war, keep her little sister safe as well as her adopted siblings, and still uphold the oath she made to the Clave, while still saving the mother that abandoned her? They will all have to stand together, or none will survive. Welcome to the Shadowhunters.
