'Crossroads Academy: School for Monsters and Magically Gifted Humans'
...Says the sign above the main entrance to the school I literally live in. That is, it says that if you're not human (like me) or if you're a magical human (like my sworn enemy, Luther Jones). If you're just a regular old human, however, it's just  boring old 'Crossroads Academy-School for the Gifted.' Really, there's nothing boring about Crossroads Academy, seeing as half the students are from other dimensions and the other half look like they could be from other dimensions, including yours truly. They teach us some pretty strange stuff, too, like how to enchant your shoes to untie themselves, how to ward off werewolves, and all about an interdimensional war that's been going on for years behind our backs. Not only that, but the enemy in the war I mentioned just so happens to look a lot like my mom, who happens to be crazy and in magical jail because she killed my dad and tried to kill me.
...Which means the enemy looks more than a bit like me, meaning I've gone from being disliked to being thought of as a possible spy, or even worse-an enemy myself.

A Big Four (which is actually basically a mix of every DreamWorks and Disney characters I could find) + the amazing reader + Hazelia (my fictional twin) Y/N was a normal girl living in a normal world without the slightest knowledge of magic and all that "bibbidi-bobbidi-boo"... or so she thought. But she was thrown into all that amazingness (is this a word?) when her world came tumbling down as the parents she thought were hers turned out to not be her real parents (it's painful, trust me). They then sent her to an academy in another realm called the Fantasy Realm, the one and only Mixed Academy. There, she found youngsters that mostly don't look human at all and have special abilities... like turning things into food with only a touch. How cool is that? She also met a few people that soon became friends with her... even the weirdo Hazelia (believe me, I got a lecture from Hazy for writing this but do I care? No). Being in the academy was fun and all, but it was not until the moment they found out that darkness was lurking around that Y/N truly found out about her true origins and who she really was... I shake my arm from their grasp. "Where are they?" There was a stillness to the dark woods. The type of stillness that holds danger within its shadows. "They'll be fine!" I get pulled back down the path that I was being led to anyhow. "They know what to do. They won't find us if we stay separated." I ran alongside my hidden pair. The moon is at its peak at night. It shows us the way. "It's not him I am worried about, Sunistral. It's her." I hear a sharp breath behind us. I swear it was! But it was disguised as a searing gust of cold wind. When I looked back, there was nothing. Just an endless pit of darkness. It was then that I knew that it had found us. This dream somehow finds me ever night. And every night I wake up in absolute confusion. I have no memory of my parents or where I came from. The only true constant of my existence is the visits that my nightmares make at night and during the day. I have yet to understand the echos of them. Until I find myself where it all began: at Pearl Academy.

New town. New identity. Same crazy. I love it!!! (insert enthusiastic voice ) (cough, cough) Not!! I hate it. I hate having to to hide who I am. But to protect the civilians and my new home from being destroyed like my last ones, I have obey the leader's rule. No matter if I do disapprove. But all of that changes when I meet, more like bump into someone who's special. ... DOOR OPENS. "Naomi Satchel!" my mother yells as she comes blaring through the doors. "Yes?" I say as I still lie under the covers. My mother pulls my cover from my body and tosses it on the floor. I quickly sit up in my bed and glare at her. "Get your ass up now you have half an hour left before your first-period starts and you better not be late," she demands. "Mom, this isn't my school. This isn't my home. I don't want to go." I whine and beg my mother at the same time to let me stay home. What was I thinking? My mom has an image to uphold being this perfect mother who loves and cares about her little baby girl. We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy.
