After a nuclear war nearly in 2150 the whole Earth has become uninhabitable for humans. There are some major cities which are still running but have very scarce resources such as food, water and oil. There are tall, thick walls protecting people from the outside world, surrounding the whole city and there is a ceiling, blocking the radiation from seeping in as air is filtered through the roof. The year is now 2205 which is the beginning for Earth to become how it was before. There are a group of people called The Warriors who go out and try to look for resources, facing death daily. A seventeen year old boy tries to steal food for his friend, he gets caught and is sentenced to death. The only way he could get out is if he joined The Warriors to search for a mythical jungle which is rumored to be flourishing in food and water. The journey is going to be very dangerous and death can come at any corner. There are bandit clans, somehow surviving outside of the walls and new types of animals unseen from humans that they didn't know existed. He will meet new friends, make some enemies and will be manipulated to do some really idiotic things, will he survive the journey and become a hero? Or will he die anyway?Complete

That's until she crosses paths with Nate and his daughter, Emmi. Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who reminds her of her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad were to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it's no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. Being a teenager is difficult stuff for them, and they just want a vacation from life. Clearly, the "Magic M Word" won't work a second time - despite the town having blended mush for brains. So, Stan and his friends come up with a great way to get away from it all: Run away, and sail to an island. Only problem is the island plan was a bust, and they've wound up on an island full of vampires and other creatures to eat you alive. Some of them have even joined the ranks of the undead surviving solely on blood and potty humor. This story was written for fun, for Halloween, and just 'cause I want to.
