Veronica Smith has had a rough life. She has severe anxiety, depression, and ptsd. Her step mom is always hovering over her, and her dad is always away on business. Ronnie has no friends. The schools queen bee Brianna Hunts and her boyfriend Joey Allock not only run the school, but are the top tormentors in Ronnie's life.  
Now enter Oliver Ridley. She's bold and outgoing, everything Ronnie isn't. But one day on the old dock, something brings them together. Suddenly, Veronica has someone sticking up for her and being the friend she's never had.  
When panic attacks, nightmares, flashbacks and so much more begin to once again rock Ronnie's world, threatening to reveal her oh so dark secrets, will Oliver run away like Ronnie thinks she will? Or will this newfound friendship help to save Ronnie. Will Oliver stop Ronnie's running from herself?
