Since the death of his mother when he was seven, sixteen year old Levi has kept a secret. Whenever he looks at someone, no matter who, as soon as he looks into their eyes, a number pops into his mind. That number is a date: the date they will die. Dates predicting with crude veracity each person's death. Burdened by such horrible knowledge, Levi avoids relationships. Until he meets Eren, another outsider, and takes a chance. Perhaps they could find happiness together, if only in the brief time that remains before his expiration date. But on a trip to London, Levi foresees a chilling chain of events. He is horrified to see that all the tourists flash the same exact number. Today's number. Today's date.
