The country of Havendell-a rich and prominent country in Europe-is the home to one of the most well respected and renowned royal families-the Halliwells. When King Astor decides that it is time to make alliances with South American countries to get precious metals the kingdom can really profit from, the family takes to the seas on a two month journey to boost morale among the commoners and secure political ties. Not soon after embarking on this journey, one of the three princesses falls in love with a crew member on board the ship, a feat no princess would ever attempt. On this journey across the Atlantic Ocean, we will see love, secrets, and murder all destroy this perfect family.

Life seemed dull to him as he was stuck in between two worlds of silence and noise, not knowing his purpose or place in society. That is, until he saw a girl with a walking stick in the hallways. Louisa and Alex weren't made for each other. Although the very presence of each other gives them new hope and strength, things are difficult as Louisa thrives by using her hearing, while Alex shies away from sound and uses sight. Without being able to communicate easily, they must learn to overcome the barrier of the silence between them, which is easier said than done. But aren't the struggles worth it to be with that one person that means everything?
