Yuuta Tonbo has always tried to stay out of the graveyard that is in his town, due to a superstitious fear that all of the younger generation believe in: the Gravestone Girl.
But when he supposedly sees the Gravestone Girl trying to eat his dead older sister's soul in the cemetery, Tonbo can't help but go and save Hotaru-nee's soul, like the good little brother he was.
When the 'Gravestone Girl' sees Tonbo, she surprises him even more by telling him that Hotaru has a message for her little brother. Hotaru has a wish that she wants to fufill, but she can only contact the 'Gravestone Girl' - who has a name by the way, and it's Oda Mia - who can talk to spirits. Tonbo has no choice but to accept what Mia says, unless he doesn't want his sister ever resting in peace.
Thus forms a slightly comical, yet interesting relationship between the ever-optimistic Tonbo, who's hiding his pain and sorrow behind that wide smile, and the social outcast, the Gravestone Girl.
