I am alone, cold and hungry in these cold winterland on what I call a nightmare.

It was night when I finished gathering logs, grass and flint to make a fire. A growl from my stomach interrupted my thoughts. I remembered the man telling me to find something to eat, but there wasn't a sign of life in the dim evening light. I would have to wait until morning to search for food.

As I started getting tired, I swore I heard a rustle in the bush not too far from me. It was pitch black with the only light from my fire, but it barely reached the edge of the trees.

I was scared that time but I was also curios, when I went to investigate the noise with nothing to protect me, everything change in short period of time when I investigate the noise.

I woke to a sudden breeze invading the warmth from the heavy blanket that caressed my skin. Here, alone with my thoughts, the still, calm quiet in the atmosphere is almost painful. I feel suffocated in the clingy, static air. In quiet, still moments like these, I can almost feel Him. I don't know who "Him" is, but I can feel his presence. It's almost calming, especially on fearful, anxiety fueled nights. Usually, he was the strongest when I had a nightmare. The nightmares weren't as common now, but, right after everything happened, I was having them every night. I'd wake up and swear I was drenched in blood, my eyes and lips sticky, my nose filled with the smell of iron and fuel. After everything, that's when Him first came. From there, he just never left. I can usually sense when Him is near. Today, though, his presence is stronger. I can almost feel Him next to me, weighing down the mattress. Some nights, I roll over and imagine how he looks, envision his smile or the sparkle in his eyes. He's never there and I'm left clutching to the thought that he exists, staring into empty air. Tonight, though, I swear I can reach out and touch him. Extending my hand gently, I sweep my hand out into the darkness and meet an inexplicable warmth. A scream rips from my lungs as hands cover my face and two icy blue eyes stare back at me, daring me to speak again. A soft cloth caressed my nose and mouth before I felt myself fade into bed. „The sunset is beautiful, isn't it?", she asked, the sound of her voice strained, as if she hadn't been talking for a long time. The boy sat next to her, staring forward into the leaving sun. He didn't even look at the young woman when she spoke. Yet still he could feel himself, only a small part of himself, longing to hear more of her voice. It used to calm him down, singing soft lullabies whenever nightmares haunted him, or telling stories to him and his brother. It was the only comfort he could rely on. And he ended it before it could poison him. Silence filled the vast empty space. Only a single Rowan tree swayed in the non existent wind, its branches reaching down where the two figures sat, sheltering them from any harm that may come their way. It was time to leave this place again. He couldn't stay here for long. He hugged his knees tight, unconsciously swaying back and forth as he did so. Maybe, if he hugged himself hard enough, he could stay here and listen to one of her stories again? Just one short story. His efforts were in vain. He realized that when his hands and feet started to disappear, just like they have done thousands of times before. There was no way things could continue the way they were now. He knew he had to stop, but a selfish part of him was still holding onto that hope that everything would be okay once he opened his eyes. „Auntie,", he said, preparing his next words. „I... really prefer sunrises." 0101011101101111011100100110110001100100011100000110110001100101011000010111001101100101011100110110000101110110011001010110110101100101

#2 in Horror. /02.23.16/ I hear footsteps approaching me, pacing faster and faster making me look back quickly. I see a man in a black fabric mask wearing all black clothing. I widen my eyes beginning to run in the snow making my feet heavy. "Help! Somebody help me!" I scream in a cry looking around to find nobody on sight. "Help!" I scream trying to run faster hoping somebody would hear my cries. My throat became sore from the cold quickly making it harder to breathe freely. "Help me! Somebody!" I hear the tall figure run behind me feeling a grip on my hair. My white ski hat fell into the ground covered in snow. The man groans pulling my hair towards him making me collapse. "No, stop!" I scream struggling from his grasp, punching and kicking aimlessly. "Shhh." The man whispers into my ear grabbing onto my wrists starting to cuff them. "No!" I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm. The man doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing. He starts to shackle my ankles together as I lay a full blown kick into his face making him groan in pain holding onto his nose on top of the mask. "Help me, somebody!" I keep yelling as he kicks me in the stomach and takes out a clothed bag from his coat pocket putting it on my head covering my face. He ties it up from the back tightly making my neck feel pressured. "Please." I whimper. "You don't have to do this." I cry admitting defeat. "Night, night." He chuckles hitting me behind the head making me loss consciousness. WARNING: Will contain very disturbing content. This book is not for individuals who are sensitive to these topics. I was standing in the middle of the fire, whispering to the fire that always answered. Letting it grow and dance the way it wanted to. It was weird to have all of this fire around you and not have it burn or touch your fragile skin. With each match and whisper the fire grew, but yells found my ears. My name was screamed into the smoke. No, there couldn't be anyone here? I thought I was alone. I am always alone. This is Hazel, she is a normal girl who has a normal life. She doesn't fit in, anywhere, and her parents have forgotten she was there. Typical teenage world. Until the day she finds out about her ex. His shirt and his blood are found, and something abnormal starts to form. She goes out and tries to figure out whats happening. Will she find that another group of species, thought to be fantasy, exist?
