To Meredith, watching hockey was torture. But her sister was a hockey player. She wanted nothing to do with hockey, even thinking about it made her angry. But she had her reasons. 

Starting 10th grade at a new school, meant hockey was everything there. The whole school was obsessed with hockey. The division 1 boys team is the best in the state. 

Forced to go to hockey games with her sister, and going to school with these hockey 'freaks' is going to be horrible. Or so she thought. 

But she meets Cole, center for the high school team. Hockey won't be the same for her. Or for him.

He doesn’t have it as easy as Meredith assumed. As the pair get closer again, Finn is able to wear down Meredith’s cynicism and possibly weave his way into her heart as well.
