'' "Skye, if you don't hurry up you're going to be late." My mom leans lightly across my door frame, leaving a shadow to cast across the room. "What's taking you so long?" She asks with a light chuckle.
Today marks my first day at college, and I'm not excited one bit. You see, I have been transferred from Yale High, a private school that trains girls and boys just like me to use their power to our country's advantage. However, recently somebody threw a spanner in the works, forcing me and my mother to move half way across town. Also, the new school I'm attending has very few 'gifted' people like myself. I can't afford to reveal my identity at such a time, otherwise this whole ordeal could end very bad indeed!
As if I had forgotten my single parent standing in the door way, I proceed to apply my eye shadow. It's not like I mean to be rude, I've got a time schedule to up hold! Can't she see I'm busy?
"Hm," She hums, "It's 9 o'clock." As if she hadn't just proclaimed that I'm over an hour late, she strolls out of my wardrobe.

The Fate of The Luna
This is book one of the series. Jordan shifts slightly in my lap so she can see my face. "Liam, I want you to mark me." She bluntly states and exposes her neck to me, so I can mark her. A wave of confusion comes over me and I tilt my head looking at her. "Are you sure that is what you want?" I look at her neck where my mark should be and feel my canines extending. Jordan simply smiles and nods her head. I readjust our bodies, so she is underneath me. I lean down and softly kiss her lips. The kiss burns my lips and not in the normal mate bond way. I pull away and rub my lips trying to get the sensation to go away. Jordan stares at me with her eyes squinted. I look her over and see nothing short of the perfect mate I am used to, however, something isn't right. Jordan pulls me down closer to her and starts leaving little kisses all over my body. Every place her lips touch immediately burns. I push her away and move towards the bottom of the bed. She sits up and moves to come closer to me. I move away again. "Liam, don't you want to mark me? Don't you want this?" Jordan looks at me pouting. This is when I realize what is going on. I smile and move to her. "Of course, I want to my queen," I coo at her and grab her wrists and pin them behind her head. My hands are burning from touching her, but I fight through it. I start leaving kisses all along her neck and pause where my canines are supposed to sink into her neck. Jordan lets out a throaty moan and I can smell her arousal. I kiss up and towards the middle of her throat. My canines extend and I bite into her throat and rip it out. Her eyes fill with pain and she struggles before the life is finally drained out of her.
