*Still Editing* '' "Skye, if you don't hurry up you're going to be late." My mom leans lightly across my door frame, leaving a shadow to cast across the room. "What's taking you so long?" She asks with a light chuckle. Today marks my first day at college, and I'm not excited one bit. You see, I have been transferred from Yale High, a private school that trains girls and boys just like me to use their power to our country's advantage. However, recently somebody threw a spanner in the works, forcing me and my mother to move half way across town. Also, the new school I'm attending has very few 'gifted' people like myself. I can't afford to reveal my identity at such a time, otherwise this whole ordeal could end very bad indeed! As if I had forgotten my single parent standing in the door way, I proceed to apply my eye shadow. It's not like I mean to be rude, I've got a time schedule to up hold! Can't she see I'm busy? "Hm," She hums, "It's 9 o'clock." As if she hadn't just proclaimed that I'm over an hour late, she strolls out of my wardrobe. Shit. ''All Rights Reserved
