They call it "The Greatest Sport on Earth" for a reason.
It just took me 26 years to figure out why.
If you live long enough, life will throw you to your back.
And when it does, you're much better off if you've wrestled.
You learn later in life how vital the disciplines of wrestling are, especially against a seemingly insurmountable opponent in a disease or illness.
Twenty-six years ago, my goal and mission in life was to win a New York State Wrestling Championship.
I committed myself to a lifestyle and made the sacrifices.
I put in the time. I had the hunger, the desire, and the determination, but I came up short.
For many years after I graduated it seemed like I got nothing out of my six years of total dedication to the sport; that the trade-off of what I gave and what I got in return to this sport was way out of whack.
I hated wrestling for it.
Until I had adversity in my life.
And slowly but surely, I started realizing how much the sport of wrestling has given back to me.
Much more than I ever knew.
"6 Minutes Wrestling with Life" is much more than a wrestling book.
It is a book on life, love, loss and belief.
Get ready to laugh, cry, smile and think.
You will never look at life the same way again.

This book is published on amazon.com. I put it on here for Wattpadders to read for free! Have you ever felt so much emotional pain that you just wanted to end it all? Have you ever felt so much physical pain that you thought death was nearer than you had hoped for? Maybe you have felt one, but not both, or maybe you have felt both. These poems were written for those who have felt pain like no other. You may be your own worst enemy, but you are also your own best friend. Sometimes, no one is there to help you get up off that floor, so it is up to you to help your own self. Once you find that you can take care of yourself, you can take care of and love others. Humans need love to survive. If we didn't have love, we'd all be robots and simply not human. The love doesn't have to be from a significant other. Maybe it's from a best friend or close family member? Just know that we are all in this game of life together. So, let's live it with love. I had entered the deepest depths of pain and agony. I had given up on my life. I tried to end my life, and I would have been successful. Three people saved me that day, at the end of 2017. First, was myself. I had to come to terms with who I was and turn it all back around. I had to lean on my Creator, who was my second life saver. Jesus came to my aid and saved my life after I tried to take it. The third person who saved me was my husband. Before we met I would have died, but he needed me just like I needed him. I am alive for him, for my two sons, for myself, and for my Heavenly Father. "I couldn't make it stop, Until I met my rock. So, here are my words of wisdom, "Pain reconciled by love" is my rhythm." There is hope. There is a purpose to this life. Pain Reconciled by Love is full of heartache, but also full of beauty. I'm still alive because there is something for me out there. I hope this is the beginning to something beautiful. For you and for me.

My life has been an intense journey from a little girl who was beaten down and abused into believing that she was worthless, to a woman at 43 years of age who is still desperately searching for who she truly is. I found her though. I did. And she writes like me, from inside of me. She is me. This girl that I've been in love with since time first existed, is indeed me. The way that she walks. With her hands... and how she talks? The hearts that she's captured, the souls that she has inspired. I'm now trying to be her. I've never felt that I was good enough to actually be myself!!! I always knew how pure and clear and free I was inside. But people told me otherwise, in a very cruel way. No one ever spared my feelings or thought to speak to me with kindness or love. My parents were very serious and strict people. They believed that there was only 1 way to act and inside I knew that I did NOT fit in the parameters of the behavior expected of me. And every single time I made my Step Daddy sigh or frown it felt like I knife in my heart. I was a let down. Always too loud. Always moving too much. Always too fat and always too ugly. Always too much. Unless I sat quietly. But I've always been a firecracker and all of that containment really made me want to blow off! All of what was inside of me, swirling and dividing in me. Burying the side of me that I loved the most! I was a bastard and a blasphemy. Harsh words for a girl of 3. They said them when they baptized me.

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.

Life is deadly and alive. We can either kill ourselves or be killed. I write so others see how life is in my eyes. I know my world is not everyone else's, but perspective can show people that there is something to offer in this world and that we are not alone, even in a world filled with people. Life leads us as we are guided by our choices. And there is only one way to live life, and that decision is up to you. "Dear Haley; Love, Haley" is a way I communicate with our Creator, the highest source. This collection is dedicated to myself, my future, and The Most High. For without them I am nothing, and with them, I am everything and all. My diary is representation for everyone who aspires to write to the Creator of themselves. This letter outline is designed to help people understand an amazing journey as to how you came about and how you are led to your greatest destiny, the destiny you write with your own hands. I hope people all around the world enjoys my work as it is not to show others that I am human, but that we are all human. Everyone deserves love, everyone deserves forgiveness, and everyone deserves a peace of mind. We are not like everyone in this world, we are simply who we are. Thank you all for learning life each day; it is truly an honor to live each day with the knowledge to know that you are meaningful and that you have purpose. All you have to do is get to know yourself. Most importantly, a special thanks to The Most High. I love you forever, and always. Thank you. Love, Haley Diane Vee

If you have paid for a copy of this e-book, please demand for your money back because this is free. Please feel free to give out a copy of this e-book to everyone you know who needs it. I have written this for confused women who don't know how to value themselves. I've written this book for that young lady who doesn't see her worth. I have written this for that insecure girl who wants to take her own life because she feels her life isn't worth living anymore. May God use the words in this to breathe life into tired souls. What makes me qualified to write this kind of e-book? I can tell you that I was once very insecure about myself. I have been all that I've mentioned above. When I was a child, I had death wishes. When I grew into a teenager, I wanted to kill myself or wanted to disappear and be invisible. When I grew into adulthood, I was so insecure about my own self-worth that I let it stop me from living the life I was supposed to live. But I outgrew all of these because I grew confident - confident of God and myself. I won't say that I've reached the perfect level of confidence but I grew up a lot. In this e-book, I will talk about confidence and identity. I hope you will take the time to take this growth development with me. I have made this a God-book because after all - God is the source of confidence.
