Focus On The Light : friendships, love & family {On-going}
Follow a group of young adults taking their first steps into adulthood as life teaches them countless lessons. Junior year in college is a crucial time as you're reaching the end of the educational race and get ready to close yet another essential chapter of your life. Important decisions need to be taken as the next year will be a validation of everything you planned for your future, or tried to. On the other hand, you also have life to experience in a more personal aspect, joggling with friendships, family and love while not trying to lose your sanity. And in the mist of it all, you're still trying to find out who you truly are. Dark times might happen more than you imagined, but in those trying times, even if it seems impossible to do so, don't forget to focus on the light. Keep your head up, smile and stay positive. ***** No part of this publication may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means, including photocopying, recording, or other electronic or mechanical methods, without the prior written permission of the publisher, except in the case of brief quotations embodied in critical reviews and certain other noncommercial uses permitted by copyright law. 1/2 ------------------------------------------------ Kara. Marianna. Aaron. Emerson. Jonah. Trevor. Lily. Ms. Lewis. This is a story about unfortunate children with unfortunate problems, a special teacher to help them through it, and a clueless bystander who learns to shed her ignorance and see through the veil of pain that many of these kids dawn every day. ------------------------------------------------ This is a project I'm working on for my English class in school. It's called the 20time project. My teacher, an amazing woman, was inspired to do this project after learning about it after attending a sort of convention called Google Summit I believe. Basically, we are dedicating 20% of our time (not including after school hours) to work on a project of our choosing to somehow better the society in which we live. I chose to write a book. I thought it would be in my best interest to share.Concluida

When I shut the door behind me I realized that no cars were driving out here either. They were all empty and abandoned. As I strolled by there were no people talking in the coffee shop windows. There were no people eating in restaurants. There were no sounds except my heavy breathing and the howling wind. "HELLOOOOOOOO" I shouted, "IS ANYONE HEREEEEE HELLOOOOO!!?" I continued to call out to no one in particular feeling a little agitated by the growing silence. That's when I heard it... The winds howling came to a stop. The world seemed to stop turning. Time itself came to a halt. Leaves caught in the breeze and remained motionless. That was until the wind came calling back to me, and in this it whispered one word that answered all my questions... The Invisible Eccdentesiast
Nyx Davis is a 15-year-old biracial, student-athlete, exploring life with her friends, Matteo, Viv, Kaylee, and Chris. Along with her brothers Denzel and Theodore. She begins her journey of self-discovery with her sexuality, identity, love life and mental wellbeing. High school isn't as romantic as movies play it out to be, but Nyx finds herself falling in love with people she'd never imagine. She maneuvers around the world within a community and school that has little to no diversity, along with stereotypes and racist ideology that seems to be at her every turn. On top of it all, her friend group seems to drift away from each other causing her to spiral with her thoughts because when it comes to those around you there are times where you think you really know someone but that's not always the case. New friendships arise and so does romance. Tension with her academics becomes more overwhelming than what she expected. Life is taking many turns, not just with her own life but with those around her as well. Read as everyone explores their own life secrets that they have kept in the dark from those around them. PS; This is an original novel coming from myself so I ask you not to publish chapters and take them as your own, legal actions will be taken if necessary. 7/26/2021~ The book cover is temporary as of right now. I will make an announcement for when the official book cover is out. Temporary cover is by RachelsArtCabin on Etsy. Started: March 2021-
