At Your Mercy

"I'm not going to do it."

He says this, and looks up at me wide-eyed, and I see a flicker of fright run through those eyes as he tries to maintain his composure. I gather the audacity to smile, and look directly into his eyes before saying,

"You have no choice, Carter. You're at my mercy."
