I jolt upright in bed, as fast as light. Thoughts from just moments ago race through my head like a swarm of angry bees. I gasped for air trying to calm myself down while wiping tears from my cheeks. The fact that my room is the darkest in the house didn't help. It's just a dream. I told myself. Or, at least, that's what I tried to tell myself because we all know, that these, aren't just dreams.

"Why'd you even come back? The last time I checked, your mom didn't want you anywhere near this particular place in this planet where we live in." I looked straight at his eyes as his seems to study every inch of my face, probably looking for any sign of weakness that screams his name. He won't find one though. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind.
