"I can't even describe it..." I trail off. How can I tell him? Don't you dare, I remind myself. Don't you dare tell him. You'll ruin it.

"You can tell me anything. I promise." Why does he have to be so amazing? Why does he have to have that perfect smile, soft hair, and those bottomless eyes? Why do I have to like him? Why can't he be ugly?

"Hey, are you okay?" He asks gently. I wipe my eyes, which had unfortunately decided to cry right then and there, and there's no stopping the waterworks.

I sob into his shirt at the unfairness of it all, and he lets me, because he's my best friend. Don't you dare tell him. Don't you dare.

"You've become so damaged that when someone tries to give you what you deserve, you have no idea how to respond." He says taking a step closer to me. I frown. "So, it's my fault? That I'm to blame for being damaged?" "No, it's not your fault at all, but it is your fault for believing you don't deserve better. That you don't deserve to be happy." Nathan looks away from my eyes, inhaling. "Maybe the little things that you consider your weakness are actually the things that people treasure most about you. Maybe you hate that you care too much...or that you wear your heart on your sleeve. But seriously, some people think that's the best damn thing about you. We all have different little things that make up who we are, we don't need to change those things, but we can choose who we share them with." "What are you saying?" Now so close to me, he places his palm on my cheek, and whispers. "You're treasure, Madison...I hope you realize that." ________ Nathan Lane a Billionaire heartthrob who has everything in his life. "He looked like her like he just realized what love is." 𖤓☽ "Can I..." I hesitated for a moment, but because it's the one thing I needed most, I pushed through, "will you just hold me for a minute." He didn't hesitate and tugged me against his chest. His arms wrapped tightly around me, and then I felt his breaths warming the top of my head. Slowly, I turned my cheek, and then I listened to his steady heartbeat. I shoved all my fear, my confusion, and my uncertain feelings for him aside and allowed myself to be weak. I closed my eyes, and grabbing hold of his sides, I fisted the fabric of his shirt. Before the tears come, I pulled away from him but he took one look at my face then yanked me back to him. Emotions whirled in my chest, and then a new one joined the chaos. Affection. It's as if he knows exactly what I need without me having to say a word. He pressed kisses against my hair, his voice an anchor that kept me from drowning as he murmured, "It's okay, love." Another kiss, and his arms clamped tightly around me. "You have me."
