Everything changed in the year 2039. Markets closed and opened back up in a new way, currency changed, and so did the standard of living.
Lydia is a 17 year old girl living a section of England called Greenpeace. The new currency, consisting of jewels from jewelry that one can find or jewelry that has been owned before, is not able to take care of the entire population. Those who live in Greenpeace are poor, but Lydia is a Christian and she holds on to her faith in God and knows that, although she faces new trials everyday, the LORD will see her through them.
With her sisters, Crystal, Amber, Ruby, and Gem, Lydia roams through the city in search of jewels to exchange for goods. When she finds keys to one of the rooms in the duke's house and some of the duke's currency goes missing, she and her sisters are accused of thievery.
Now assigned a guard to watch her every move until the trial is over, Lydia must stay true in her faith and hold on to the ones she loves.
