Samantha Karev has known nothing more than disappointment, abandonment, and hurt over the course of her life. Her older brother Alex was a big inspiration to her and she owed him a lot.

At a young age, Alex had to care for her and her siblings when their mom became mentally unstable and their dad abandoning them in a time of need.

After a while of the Karev siblings being on their own, they were split up and sent into different foster homes.

Eventually, at the age of 18, Samantha followed in her older brother's footsteps - becoming a surgeon to help others when nobody would help the siblings.

With all of the issues Samantha has faced, throw in an abusive ex-boyfriend who treated her so horribly, she had been sent to the hospital on many occasions.

Now she's in Seattle, Washington, where her brother Alex now resides.

She didn't know that Seattle would be her new home, let alone find love in Seattle.

Alexandra Karev never wanted to be an intern again. She was a second-year resident, almost on her way to choosing a specialty, when everything changed. One moment, she and her best friends-Bailey Grey, Alice Grey, and her twin brother George Karev-were in the hospital basement, and the next, they were standing in Season 7 of Seattle Grace, staring at legends who weren't supposed to be there. The past was never supposed to be real. Derek Shepherd was supposed to be a myth, a man Alice and Bailey never got the chance to know. Alex was never supposed to work under a younger Teddy Altman or catch Cristina Yang's sharp, calculating gaze when she performed a little too well in surgery. She was never supposed to interact with her father-the younger version of Alex Karev-without him knowing who she really was. Now, stuck in a time where they don't belong, Alex must find a way to survive without changing history. But that's easier said than done when Cristina keeps pushing her, testing her limits, drawn to something in her that she can't quite place. When Teddy starts noticing her, watching her with the kind of intensity that sets Alex's heart racing. She was prepared to be a surgeon, not a time traveler. And she was definitely not prepared to fall for the two women who would shape her future in ways she never imagined. If they don't figure out how to fix this soon, Alex might not just lose her way home-she might lose her heart in the past. Born in Philly, raised in New York, and now packing up her Bostonian life for the Emerald City. Freshly graduated from her fellowship at Harvard Medical School, a newly famous World Renowned Surgeon is given a new start in life. At only 24 years old, Elena has reached the highest set of skills a professional in surgical medicine could accomplish. Specializing in Cardiac, Plastic, and General Surgery, nothing could ever come between her love for Neuro, especially not her older brother, the equally famous Derek Shepherd. She was determined and sharp, she was everything Dr. Ellis Grey, her mentor, imagined her to be when she offered her the position of Head of Neurosurgery. Even with such a reputation like hers, Elena still had to face the worst of it. The prejudice and ridicule of her co-workers she could handle, she had faced it head-on during her time at Mass Gen, but she had never been the center of attention in the public eye. Can she keep her life in control or prying eyes? Or will she have to submit to the rumors and whispers spreading across the hospital?
