HawkMoth didn't intend for this. When he possesses the wrong person the whole world gets corrupted. Fleshing eating monsters is what they said, Zombies is what they are. Marinette unable to transform into ladybug and Adrien stuck as Chat Noir the two find each other and fall in love through even the toughest of times. Doing things they never thought they would go survive and protect one another. Chat being protective and Marinette weaker in her civilian form. Do they find a cure? Are they able to defeat hawkmoth and reverse the damage ?
