I wrote this two years ago and just found it, so I'm reading and posting it at the same time in hopes of finishing it. It's 70 pages on Word Doc so... yeah.
It's about a girl who finds out she's an angel and overcomes some obstacles in her life, betrayal and lies, secrets and family histories untold, all comes to light in this story. I hope you like it, it's one of my finer works in my opinion.
Excerpt:
"You didn't have to do that."
"If I wouldn't have been there, who knows what would have happened." He turns to me as he stops walking.
"Nothing would've happened. Why do people here try to protect me so much? Im not some fragile porcelain doll." I drop his hand from my arm.
He just looks at me stunned and I look away. There's so many people here and I know no one. I know three people personally and a couple indirectly. One of them has already proved to be a wack job. It decreases my hope of ever having good friends here. I start walking to the motorcycle. Shane's also probably not that into me. He just broke up with Mindy, sounds like and it's too early for him to be with someone like me. I'm just someone who's just from a small town. He's someone from a big city. I shouldn't do this to myself.
I get to the motorcycle and get on, leaving the helmet in my lap to wait for him. From here I can see him walking down the line of cars, his head held low and walking with the key in one hand and the other in his pocket. The group behind him slowly dissipates as they get into their cars.
He gets his helmet off the bike and holds it close to his face like he's about to put it on. "No one said you were a porcelain doll." He puts it on. "You just look like one," I hear his voice, muffled by the helmet. He gets on and starts the bike, before heading off; back onto the dirt road.
