Alison just finished her last audition of the week.
She's scared to go home because she fears that Eliot (her abusive husband) will be drunk again. She thinks her life will always be like this as she hasn't got the courage to leave him, but little does she know that the one person who will love her like no one else and tell her it's okay to follow your dreams will be the person she meets in the most unlikely of places. Emily Fields is a English Professor at NYU and has recently found out that her fiancée of three years and girlfriend of six has been cheating on her for the past six months. Emily is heartbroken and finding it hard to let new people into her life. She spends all her free time in her New York loft all alone with a bottle of beer as her companion. Emily's friends feel like enough time has past since the breakup and decide to take her on a fun girls night out in hope to cheer Emily up and possibly find her a new girl.
