My mother craved sons but fate has its own way all she ever got were daughters when I was born she lost her mind, for people say she'll go in trance and won't react to anything staring at nothing for hours and then she'll laugh at her own and start crying on her own.
The place where I belong it is widely believed'sons' bring pride and honor to family, the more you have the better while daughter are considered nothing but a burden on family - feed them, clothe them and dispose them off with a huge dowry when they come of age. Yes, it have to be huge otherwise, it'll doom the family name.Anybody can see what a liability girls were in our part of the world while sons are all asset.
