Insomnia-ridden Ellie Mckenny takes midnight walks when she can't calm her restless mind.

After her parents separated the summer before high school, and her mental health began to decline, she found that the only way to calm herself before bed was to take these walks; she let the quiet of the night subdue her loud thoughts.

Now starting her Freshman year of college in the Golden State, she couldn't help but feel she had wasted away her teenage years allowing her anxieties to control her; She had never let anyone close enough to call a friend; She hadn't done any extracurricular activities; She hadn't gone to a single party; She hadn't done things normal teens had, even if it's what she craved.

Ellie refused to go through college the way she did in high school, no matter how uncomfortable stepping out of her comfort zone was.

While searching for her new designated walking path as she battled with panic, she bumped into the dark-haired and tattooed boy-- literally.

After speaking to him, she decides, that the only thing Ethan and her had in common was their incurable insomnia.

Or, at least, that was what she thought.

Little did she know this encounter would drastically change her entire college experience.
