She requests permission to embark on a dangerous mission, living outside for a year, globing a doci of pakeha life. When Ping and Wei are forced into an unlikely alliance she is forced to question the benign genocide her utopian monarchy uses to protect the future and in doing so, recreates the past and a new life.
