“That was one messed up dream I had last night. I haven’t had any dreams, much less a nightmare, in what seems like forever. I couldn’t help but try to figure out what the dream meant. For starters, what was up with that guy drowning me? Why did he remind me of someone? I swear I have seen the guy before, but I couldn't think of where.”
From everyone’s point of view in Grey Oaks High, Aria Davenport seems like one of your typical popular girls. She always sticks with her crowd, and never mixes with the “slums of the school”. With such a high reputation to live up to, she can’t afford to be with the wrong people. When Jace Conners, a new student from the school slums, haunts Aria’s dreams for days, she makes plans to meet with him secretly. It’s only so long that Aria can keep her secrets from her friends and Jace, and her fears from herself.
