In beautiful, far away fantasy worlds, the merfolk are gentle, curious, peace-loving creatures. That is not this world, however. Here, the merfolk prowl the sea as fearsome predators, taking whatever prey they could get their hands on. Fish, shark, whale, even human is a favored delicacy among these vicious killers. They either take their food by force or manipulate it into their open, waiting mouths.

   Cyrus is a merman living in just such a world. He's one of the best hunters of his kind, able to catch any prey he desired. He was a strong, swift, and sadistic carnivore. One day he spots a lone girl walking on the shore of his territory. His mouth waters in anticipation of the hunt, but as he watches the human sink to the ground and burst into tears, he couldn't help but become intrigued.

   Cyrus is soon to learn that there's plenty more to humanity than just a delicious meal.

They're smaller, like a human borrower, 5 inches tall The merman's duty is to complete prophesies at his own will (not forced like in the webtoon), but the only disadvantage he has is the fear of merchildren As he swims to do a prophesy, something stops him and gets caught in the chaos of the ocean near the surface, for he heard rumors that the surface is a dangerous place for any merman or mermaid, but to the Beacon, it was a blessing
