When Elijah had fled his home in Mystic falls with his family, in a desperate bid to escape a torturous death by their father's hands, they all stumbled upon a little town in southern France. There the Mikaelson's undertook a different identity and lived under the radar posing as a counts children, it was then when they all met the De Martel siblings. Aurora and Tristan.
They knew there was something odd about them; but when Elijah was introduced to Tristan's bride to be, Marianne Auclaire, a whole new world of possibilities and information opened up. Marianne had a few secrets of her own, some that may fair well if she allied with the Mikaelsons. But as events developed and Marianne finally had the opportunity to do what she was here to do, everything goes wrong.
