Alex is a college student, just trying to get through the insanity that has been her life for the last three years--since the night of her sixteenth birthday, when she was attacked and Turned into a werewolf. She hides her fears and nightmares about that night behind a thick layer of sarcasm and wit that she puts on for the world, and she's finally getting back on track with her life and recovering from her demons.
Jack is a lower-ranking Pack member--he only works in the kitchen, but he's looked for his mate for as long as he can remember, so imagine his surprise when he finds her at the local supermarket, and she instantly shuts him out. He just wants a normal life--one with stolen kisses and midnight dinners and crappy apartments and maybe a family, some day in the future. Unfortunately, with Alex in his life, normal is the last thing he's going to get.
But even as Jack and Alex are trying to find their way in the world, a threat is looming--one in the form of resurfacing enemies and shadow organizations. With this threat to the world growing ever-bigger, will Alex be able to push aside her haunted past and save herself, her mate, and her world?

THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Not knowing the outcome of your foolish actions. If he comes roaming your streets, you have a right to be scared. Us "maidens" are always encouraged to hide ourselves the most, it's women that he supposedly wants more. However, I believe that that is a cautionary excuse. He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look. He finds her, and because of her dormant wolf, he thinks she's human. Soon she goes missing, because her pack members sold her to a rogue pack. Alex searches, and searches, but cannot find her. Her wolf has to completely go dormant, because it's just causing her pain and she would died of she didn't. Alex thinks that she's dead, because he felt the connection between them break. He finds another girl to be his mate, and when Ashleigh is found, she is heartbroken. Not only was it her pack that made her suffer through all that because they sold her, but her mate had given up on her because her wolf had to go into dormancy. She falls into severe depression, and develops a form of PTSD, that was formed from the shock she had from her pack and mate's betrayal. She isn't happy anymore, and that brightness she had in her personality is gone, leaving a husk of her former self.
