This is my story to "you". This is a story about loving someone so much and after all else you don't always get the happily ever after that you always want. No matter the fighting and clinging towards this love. Sometimes the only thing you have left is the memories. This became a story for me to heal my wounds and grow into the woman I am now. Set in a trailer park in a small town in the USA, there lives me. My mom, my sister, and my brother. Then, there is my father. What I am about to tell you will be hard. You will read this, and you may lose faith in hope. I hope my story is one that will be able to gain hope. I want people to read my story and know there are thousands of us out there. Have you ever loved someone who doesn't love you back? Have you ever longed and desired someone so much that it hurts? And the ugly truth, they'll never feel the same way, they'll never want you. It hurts so bad, the pain makes you feel worthless, because you can't have the one you love. The one you crave. And, I'm very close to breaking. I'm on a cliff, and the little string of hope I have is keeping me from falling over, but, that string is getting worn out, tired of holding on...

There were two of us. Both drowning in each other's pain. I got lucky and swam up to the top grasping for air. She sank to the bottom and there was nothing I could do for her. She may have drowned but I feel like I did. And now I'm breaking. Because without her why am I even living?

I couldn't answer him, and I could tell that he knew what he was doing. Emmett already had me so far under, making me believe that I had control over what has occurred these past few months. He had his hold on me, and he was only letting us sink into deeper waters. "I think you know how I feel, Grace." He told me, forcing his eyes on mine, making it impossible for me to respond. "I love you." His light, clear blue eyes were all I could see, reminding me of the lake, the sky, and of him, all at the same time. And as I looked into those blue irises, and whispered back my response as he brought his mouth closer to mine, I found that for the first time, I was alright with drowning, as long as it was Emmett pulling me under.
