when the world goes to shit, and suddenly theres no such thing as "dead", elaine and her family make it through the beginning. the initial stages of panic.
of course, no family can make it through untouched. elaine is bitten, and dies. her family promised her they wouldn't let her turn, but they can't do it, they can't kill her. they lock her in the bathroom waiting for her to turn, and she does, but she's not a flesh thirsty monster. elaine is exactly the same, except for the fact that she's dead.
elaine was just trying to survive the end of the world, and maybe she still can. even if she's not living, she's still existing.
(yes, this is a walking dead fan fiction, characters of the walking dead will be incorporated into the story!)

Kelley lost everything in the beginning. Her family, her house, even her small hometown in the state of Georgia. So she decided to leash up her dog, a Belgian Malinois named Bud, gather some supplies, and head towards Atlanta. She encounters a small group along the way. Survivors just like her, with stories and losses of their own. She soon becomes close to them, feeling like she has found another family, and she will do anything to protect them. This is a story of lost, love, survival, and surprises. The world doesn't care that you are alone, doesn't care if you're hungry, and doesn't care that death lurks around every corner. The undead feed on the living and the living can't be trusted. As the days pass and the world she knew was gone, she keeps a record of everything that has happened since first night. Daryl Dixon, red neck trash who follows his older brother, Merle, everywhere he goes. Well, Daryl also has a kid. A little girl named Kathryn Ann Dixon. She goes by the nickname, Kata, a name her mother gave her. When she was two, her mother disappeared. Merle was in jail for two years and by the time Merle got out, Kata was four and they left their grandfather's place after Daryl learned the dark secret that hurt his daughter. When Kata's grandfather died, her family got the trailer and even though it was hard for her family, they made it work. Kata was taught how to hunt, shoot a gun, and grossly, how to gut certain animals. One night, the world died. Everything. The dead started coming back to life, killing the living. Her family ran into a man and woman on the highway, combing with other people, making a larger group. Everything started really change when a man named Rick Grimes came to the group.
