It is two weeks since Emma told Julian that she could never be with him. Emma and Mark's relationship is apparently blooming, which is destroying Julian. Meanwhile at the LA Institute, an unexpected visitor arrives, bringing bad news that will disturb and intervene with the lives of each shadowhunter. Who is it, and what news do they bring? 
This story is an alternative to Lord of Shadows. 
I truly appreciate any reads and would love to share my small part of the Shadow world with you all.

After the fire, Jia Penhallow adopted the small girl and five years later shipped her to the Los Angeles Institute in the hopes the trusted Blackthorn children would lift her spirits. Vita soon grew attached to the siblings with the grip of a hungry man that was given food.
