Serendipity; (n.) finding something good without looking for it

Anna Graham is a 20 year old from Florida. She's studying History in Stanford. She's an intelligent girl with a love for everything old and everything with a story.

Owen Lacey is a 22 year old from New York. He loves art but study's law. His love and interest for art excites Anna and draws the pair closer.

With so much in common they have a lot to talk about but so many obstacles in their way. Anna tells the story (in italics at the start of each chapter) of how her and Owen end up together.

This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻. 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲. Blake Laurent is a 18-year-old teenage girl who enjoys partying and isn't hesitant to express her needs and wants. She's confident in her desires and doesn't seem interested in anything other than physical intimacy. She may have a flirty personality, but that doesn't mean she lacks compassion. After a year away, she returns from Europe to her childhood town and meets an even greater mystery than herself. 𝗠𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀. 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸. 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲. Chase Scott isn't your typical bad boy from high school, as he appears entirely disinterested in everything, such as committed relationships and, unlike Blake, anything sexual. He hates talking about himself, has a temper, is usually annoyed, and is somewhat of a drug addict, yet his eyes disguise frightening secrets from his troubled past. And when the two of them cross paths, Blake feels an intense attraction to Chase and is unable to understand why he keeps pushing her away, which makes her even more drawn to him. For him, it's a constant battle within his mind. Blake is undoubtedly one of the most stunning women he has ever seen, but she is also the younger sister of one of his best friends, and he doesn't want to get involved with that. With anything, in fact, as he's been through a lot and has difficulty communicating his emotions. ⚠️ 𝗧𝗪 / 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲, 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮 𝗲𝘁𝗰

"You also think you know my 'type', do you?" I raised my fingers above my head gesturing for quotation marks. "Well then, let's hear it. What's my type?" He didn't say anything, just stared me down. I continued. "Say it. Is he smart, or funny, or romantic? You don't know anything about the kind of guy I'd want, Jai!" "Would you want a guy like me, Anaya? Would you?" "So what if I did?" ******** When Jai and Anaya, two perfect strangers, meet on a college tour, it's clear that Anaya wants nothing to do with him. After all, they didn't meet before this and they would never meet after. But then, they do meet again. And again. And again. Sometimes, two people don't work together on paper. If they're like Jai and Anaya, they don't seem to work in real life either. But no matter how hard two people push away from each other, the universe has a funny way of pushing them back.
